Initial appointment was scheduled while I was out of town and dealing with spotty cell service.  Although it was previously approved, technician spent an hour communicating concerns over entering the back yard due to a 20 lb. labradoodle and potentially frightening anyone that could be in what was determined to be an empty house.  Once those concerns were resolved, the technician couldn't figure out how to turn water on even after I told them where the valve was.  BTW said valve was off due to the leak they were hired to fix.  The diagnosis from the visit was to change valves.  I was stuck with a bill for that visit.  Even after voicing my concern, the solution they came up with was they would waive the charge if I rescheduled and agreed to a future visit.  I cancelled that visit due to being away from the home again. Their customer service was a joke and are only out for their initial charge more so than actually fixing the issue.  After working with a different company, the leak turned out to not be a valve after all but was a break in the line.  Sprinkler Master still ended up charging $200 for no work. They came out to my house last year and replaced some valves. After it was done, they noticed that the water pressure in some zones that they replaced was low and mentioned that to me. When I asked what could be the cause of that, they said they weren’t sure, since other zones had good water pressure and our house water pressure was good. This year I decided to go with a different company to do some repairs and they noticed that the valves that had been replaced last year were installed incorrectly, and probably was causing water pressure issues in those zones — exactly what was mentioned last year by the Sprinkler Master technicians. I reached out to Sprinkler Repair to see if they would come out and fix the error, and they declined to do free of charge, even though the original installation cost $900 and it was their error in installation that caused the problems. The technicians that came out last year were incredibly kind, they had prompt response times, and got the work done quickly. This absolutely might have been a one-off experience, but still frustrating nonetheless as a $900 fix will now have to be completely redone. Edit on July 7th: I don’t love the response they gave, yuck. I tried to be somewhat kind in my review because the technicians that came out truly were nice and easy to work with. I’ll provide more context as well for other potential customers. The reason I didn’t reach out until a year later is because Sprinkler Master Repair told me after the 2024 fixes that the water pressure was likely the city’s fault; I had no idea it was the sprinkler’s fault. I had no idea it was the valve’s fault until another company pointed it out later. I’m not sure how me, a non-sprinkler expert, is supposed to know that when sprinkler experts tell me they fixed it. I didn’t respond for 27 days this year because I was really sick. Thanks for feeling the need to point that out and having so much empathy 🤍 There’s no way Sprinkler Master Repair could have verified that the valves were installed incorrectly just by a picture. The other company that came to inspect noticed that if the sprinklers were turned on through the automated sprinkler system, the water pressure was low. However, if the solenoids were turned and the valves opened manually, the water pressure was fine. Additionally, the solenoids were so tightly installed (they are supposed to be adjustable by hand) that you could only open them with a wrench. There is no way they could have “verified it was installed correctly” through a picture. I’ll even attach the picture I sent where they magically were able to determine it was all working properly over text. And, to top this all off, the other company replaced the valves and the water pressure was fixed afterwards. So, yes, the valves were the problem. Had major sprinkler issues. Called another company that we used for years. They couldn’t get to us for two weeks. We called Sprinkler Master Repair because of their reviews. They sent Gabriel out to fix our sprinklers the very next day (July 4). Gabriel knew his stuff and did an amazing job of taking care of our issues. Customer service was superb and price was very reasonable. To Jay at Sprinkler Master, I’m extremely disappointed that you failed to show up for our scheduled appointment today, 4/24/2025, at 4:00 PM—especially after I took unpaid time off work to be available. It’s now 8:36 PM, and I haven’t received any communication from you—no call, no text, nothing. This lack of professionalism is unacceptable. I rearranged my schedule and lost income to give you my business, only to be completely disregarded. Sprinkler Master has been my reliable go-to for sprinkler repair and seasonal on/off services for the past few years. They are very friendly and responsive and when I reach out and the repairs are always done quickly. They've reached out after to make sure all is still back in working order.
